It all started with a little blue vinyl record player from Santa
underneath the Christmas tree one year. It was supposed to be a
gift for Jennifer, Heather's older sister, but she was too scared
to put the needle on the plastic 45". It didn't take too long
before 3 year-old Heather got up, picked up that needle, and plopped
it on the record. Marge, Heather's mom recalls, "Heather started
to sing before she could talk. She loved music so much she wore
records flat and tape players just gave out. Her first audiences
gathered around her stroller in dress departments where her Mom
"parked her" in front of the mirror. Another favorite
place to perform was for security cameras. There is a bank in Ohio
that must have her complete repertoire recorded! She use to sit
in a bubble bath for hours singing down the drain. "I thought
all the neighbors could here me!" says Heather.
SINGER WINS OVER AUDIENCE
Her first singing performance was at age 4 when she signed herself
up for the annual "Holiday at Home" talent contest in
Kettering, OH. Heather sang accapella, The theme from "The
Greatest American Hero" and made it all the way to the finals.
The night of the show, Heather came down with a 105 degree temperature,
but she trucked on and sang her little heart out. The crowd fell
in love with her and gave her a standing ovation. The local newspaper
was there and she made the front page news the next morning. It was from that, she sang the National Anthem
over the intercom at her Kindergarten, J.E. Prass, and the Worlds
Fair. Shortly after her new found fame, Heather's parents and sisters
moved to Arizona. Heather continued singing and performing at school
talent shows and shcool choirs. She was a soloist for 3 years performing
with the Phoenix Phollies at Phoenix Symphony Hall. When Heather
turned 18, she packed up her Dodge Neon and moved to California
to pursue acting and to attend the American Academy of Dramatic
Arts in Pasadena. Soon after, Heather started auditioning and has
appeared in several national and regional commercials; including
Dr. Pepper, Sonic Burger, Phillip Morris and California Dept. of
Health.
GOING BACK TO HER ROOTS
It was through a friend that she met her producer, Chuck Vincent, (Grammy
award winner, Dr. John- Trippin' Live) and thanks the Phillip Morris
campaign Heather was able finance her demo CD entitled, "These
Are The Days." Shortly after, Heather started playing gigs
around Los Angeles including Genghis Cohen, Coconut Teaser and Highland
Grounds. In July of 2007, Heather packed her bags and moved to Music City. She currently lives in Nashville
and is writing her debut album and playing shows in Nashville. To find out where Heather will be playing next,
